Fees

Understanding the fees associated with participating in FunStake is important for transparency and ensuring a smooth user experience.

  1. Protocol Fee:

    • FunStake charges a small protocol fee to sustain the platform and continue providing a high-quality experience.

    • Amount: The protocol fee is currently set at 5% of the generated prize when a game session is finalized.

    • Purpose: This fee helps cover operational costs and supports future development and maintenance of the platform.

  2. User Participation Storage Costs:

    • To prevent spam and ensure the integrity of the game, users are required to deposit a small amount to cover storage costs.

    • Storage Cost: Typically, this cost is around 0.0025 NEAR. This fee covers the cost of storing user data for the game session.

    • Refundable: If a user decides to cash out before the game session ends, the storage cost is refunded. This ensures that users are not penalized for withdrawing early, while also protecting the system from potential abuse.

    • Purpose: The storage cost helps prevent “Million Small Deposits” attacks, where a large number of small deposits could potentially disrupt the system.

These fees are designed to ensure the sustainability and security of FunStake, while being fair and minimal for participants. By understanding these fees, users can participate with confidence, knowing exactly what to expect.
